The observer’s gaze guides the rhythmic interpretation of the images and the communicative tension they convey. The sequences highlight the artist’s intentional use of photography as a medium for deeper emotional and conceptual exploration. The images reveal that not everything is as it seems; there is abstraction at play, which encourages the viewer to delve further, an invitation to reflect and interpret the surrounding world in terms of perception and underlying symbolism. Distorted perspectives and deconstructed elements create an ongoing exploration between illusion and reality, while also probing the ambiguity of contexts and details. Protagonista è la fotografia, che nelle sue immagini leggere appare come traccia di un ricordo lontano. Un movimento lineare indica un percorso, un inizio e una fine. Vuoti, intervalli, frammenti e pieni si alternano. È lo sguardo dell’osservatore che guida la lettura ritmica delle immagini e la loro tensione comunicativa. Le sue opere raccontano con un linguaggio espositivo fatto di poesia visiva, il nostro spazio circostante, luoghi e non luoghi, e la relazione tra uomo e ambiente. Nell’indagine sul processo fotografico, l’artista ha sentito l’esigenza di ritornare ad alcune tecniche del passato, desiderando “fare arte” nel senso fisico della realizzazione. Ha adattato il medium alle proprie necessità comunicative, utilizzando la tecnica del distacco dell’emulsione con trasferimento su carta come contenitore privilegiato delle immagini. I collage fotografici nascono da una sperimentazione attiva che rivendica la materialità dell’immagine. Così la fotografia manipolata riacquista ulteriore magia attraverso il processo di trasformazione.
